A Century of Excellence & A Future of Promise

It is with immense pride and gratitude that I extend my heartfelt wishes to all members of St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School, Morakkala, on the occasion of 100 glorious years of educational excellence. Founded in 1919, our institution has been a beacon of knowledge, discipline, and character-building, nurturing the aspirations and dreams of innumerable students through the ages. 

Our Journey

Starting as V.V. School in Pallikkara and later renamed St. Mary’s Primary School, we grew into a Higher Secondary School responding dynamically to the changing educational needs. Today, we have more than 2000 students, 80 teachers, and 9 staff members committed to preparing the students for academic excellence and character formation. 

Commitment to Excellence

Our school has constantly been a top performer, sending out the largest number of SSLC pass-outs among aided schools in Kolenchery sub-district. In addition, our students bring pride upon us in sports, arts, and social service by winning laurels in the state-level competitions organized in those fields. Besides, our plus-two students maintain a very good record in both commerce and science streams, revealing our commitment to standards of excellence at every level. 

Looking to the Future

During our celebrations for the jubilee 100 years (1919-2019), we undertook activities of social responsibility, like building a house for the homeless student.

Leadership & Management

In 2018, I was appointed the Manager of St. Mary's Higher Secondary School by the General Body Meeting of St. Mary's Jacobite Cathedral, Pallikkara Church. It is with utmost honor that I bear the responsibility of leading this rich institution forward. 

Our respected Principal leads with vision, dedication, and a focus on excellence; together with our experienced Head Master, they ensure that the students develop academically and personally.

The School Managing Committee, with Mr. Elias Joseph, Mr. Shiji Varghese, Dr. Bobby Varghese, and Mr. Eldho Varghese, is genuinely instrumental in developing and stabilizing the institution. 

Role of PTA

The Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) plays a pivotal role in bringing together the resources necessary for our house, education, and student wellbeing. Their commitment keeps strengthening our community.
